| I got quite worried as to how he was going to exit the Pilatus Porter ! he sort of slid out sideways with those bulky wings, the engines look like model gas turbines.
For sheer thrill that device must take some beating, imagine testing it out for the very first time ? quite an heavy wing loading as well.

| Ritz, welcome to the forum. Normally I come in via the forum index and go from there. New members often go to "How did you find us" in the chit-chat and introduce themselves.
Hope you find something to interest you and it will be nice to share with you.

| The wing also holds the fuel tanks, the power to weight ratio must be very high, but look it flies, surely this must be one of the most exhilarating forms of flight known to man ?
It is like something out of a Bond movie.

It is like something out of a Bond movie. | Im not sure about how high the power to weight would have to be because once your airbourne theres all sorts of thermals and other factors that come into play? It would surprise me if its lower than we imagine! | |
