| Charlotte, I would have been proud if I had won that model, your Dad made a lovely job of the engine bay and the last I saw it was coming together very nicely.
As for license plates I am sure that you would be better with either a decal or a rub down dry system such as "Letraset". You will never get that crisp edge with such fine detail by painting.
You can get decal sets with all sorts of letter styles, colours and numbers to suit your size requirement.
You could also, of course, buy some ink jet decal paper and print your own from a computer. As long as the letters are in a colour (Ink jets can't print white) it should work very well.
