My dad's Spit

Is now in a safe place. It is in my room in a glass cabinet. Im not sure when you guys saw the pics of my dad's Spit that you could see all the detail.
Ill let you know now that i can't believe of how much detail there really is in that little plane.

When it was up for auction who ever would of won it you would be so happy of how brilliant it is. I know this becuase i only took it out of his model room this week. I'll be doing his car model very soon and will try and do the best that i can to be the exact match.

With that i need help. Does anybody do car models and can they help me by telling me how to do licence plates and do i write the registration number on the plate or do i decal it on.

Thanks Char.

Charlotte, I would have been proud if I had won that model, your Dad made a lovely job of the engine bay and the last I saw it was coming together very nicely.

As for license plates I am sure that you would be better with either a decal or a rub down dry system such as "Letraset". You will never get that crisp edge with such fine detail by painting.

You can get decal sets with all sorts of letter styles, colours and numbers to suit your size requirement.

You could also, of course, buy some ink jet decal paper and print your own from a computer. As long as the letters are in a colour (Ink jets can't print white) it should work very well.
