Need info about Vosper ASRL boats....

Hi everyone.
New to this forum but like the look of it.

I'm building my first RC boat. A Vosper ASRL 72 ft.
It's a plastic kit which is going together well. Problem I have is deck fittings and other details. I;m having a hard time finding photos of the real things when in service.
Has anyone any idea of where to look and where I can obtain suitable fittings?

I'm not averse to scratch building if I have too, I been building models for long enough! Would just be easier to find a supplier of such things.

ps. It's a 1/35 scale model.

Cheers FG

Hello Fireman and welcome to the Forums, I see Duncan has already directed you to a good link ( I have browsed it too) Hopefully we can all help you here, so if you are stuck, just shout, there are plenty of us here willing to help.

This boat still features on the X-List plans for 2006 priced at £9.50 so that might be a good place to try.

astec models also have the 72ft Launch on their catalogue too, found here:

Thanks for that info. I will have a look see. Can anyone recommend a website or company for the supply of ready made items? I'm thinking anchors, cleats, boat hooks etc. That kind of thing? Bit easier than having to scratch build stuff! I will post some pics soon to let you see whats happening. And then hopefully the finished article. Forgot to ask also, as a complete novice at this radiophonic electrickery stuff.... where is a good source of info/ advice for the basics? I'm thinking wiring diagrams, servo set ups, receivers etc. Have been looking around but just keep finding sites that assume you already know the basics. Which I don't !
