Favourite Box Art?

To quote jspitza "Oh man-this would be an entire thread-too many cool box art covers!"

So lets have one....
What is your fave box art? The sort of thing that would make you steal if you had to just to get one and hang in on the ceiling or wall or on the bedside cabinet or wherever is the preferred choice of display.

To start off with we'll all pick artwork from each category:
Aircraft
Armour
Ships
Cars
Rockets
Polythenes
Figures
Sci-Fi
Trains and Engines/Misc

If I have missed a subject out then put it in the Misc section.
As for my choices....I'm still

box art?

There's something old and quaint about those old Hornby-Dublo Box sets...pity one rarely sees the delighted look on kids' faces like those portrayed in those halcyon days... sigh!...I also loved the box-tops of the Frog and Revell ranges of WW1 and 2...and at 2s 3d they were marvelous...(jumpers for goalposts! Bobby Moore lifting the World Cup) aside...remember The Green Hornet, 77 Sunset Strip, Man From UNCLE...and the Corgi 007 'Aston' presentation boxes?...Threw mine out years ago....foolish...

Question...any manufacturers making a Sea Harrier with 899 RNAS decals? Either that or a Phantom F4 in 892 markings?
(my Brother's old Squadrons, like to bash one together for his Birthday) nothing that takes up the lounge and flies itself...1:72, or 1:46 scale for example?

Cheers! and hello out there...

I have fond memories of the old artwork on the Airfix box tops. There was always a nicely painted shot of the aircraft and ample explosions and fireballs in the background too!

Yes in 1/48th Sky decals do 899 on sheet (Sky 48028)
899 Sea Harrier FRS1 Tamiya
899 Sea Harrier FA2 Airfix
I'm sure Aeromaster or try Model Alliance.

Hope this helps.

I'll have to come off the fence now and decide...This might change again in a few months or so but that is the great thing about a thread like this you can change your mind.

Aircraft: Airfix 1/72nd Sea King picking up the Apollo Astronauts.

Armour: 1/35th Dragon Initial Production Tiger (Still have that to build)

Ships: Airfix 1/600th H.M.S Ajax

Cars: Airfix Lotus Cortina

Rockets: Airfix Saturn V

Polythenes: Airfix Gebirgsjager (aka Alpencorps or Mountain Troops)

Figures: Airfix Showjumper

Sci-Fi: There is only one batch of contenders for this, naturally the Airfix/MPC Star Wars kits...which means the Millennium Falcon.

Trains and Engines/Misc: Airfix Lomac with JCB3...this is a bit biased as I love JCB's!

If you are wondering why so much Airfix, it was more predominant where I grew up, also I was very influenced by boxart then, now I'm influenced by subject alone in the various scales I build.
