Model Radar Dish???

Hello folks,

I'm looking for a model radar dish / radio telescope to incorporate into a model Im making. Its not the sort of thing that's heavily advertise on billboards with bikini models and gleaming teeth.

Would any of you good folks know where I could get my paws on one?

Id be seriously chuffed.

All the best,

Alex

Howdy Alex,

First, welcome to the forum, we are glad to have you as a member

Ok, now onto your problem. I have looked and looked and cant find a plastic model kit of a radar dish anywhere except as part of the Star wars Millineum falcon.
However......I have found you a cardmodel that is a free download, that when printed, will have a dish in the model kit.
The cardmodel is of the cassinni probe seen below:

(Above: actual cardmodel of NASA's Cassinni Probe)

Now you can find and download the free model here:

Cassini-Huygens: Kids Space-Paper Model

It maybe that you can use the radar dish portion of the model. If it is too small, you can always enlarge the page containing the dish on a photo copier.
I know this really wasnt what you were looking for but its the best i could do.

Again, welcome to the forum and have a good day,

Greg aka GEEDUBBYA (GW)
