Paddle Tug Restoration John H Amos

I saw that they finally managed to lift the John H Amos onto a floating pontoon to allow the Tug to be ferried to a berth at the Chatham Dockyard!

It's great to see something happening finally as the Tug has been rotting away - it rightfully needs to be preserved!

I agree mate there seems a never ending supply of lottery money for historic buildings and look how many there are
But for historic Transport projects its very poor BlueBird is a prime example

Hi Alan
I was in San Francisco a few years ago, and they have the Eppleton Hall a paddle tug from tyneside [yes I'm a Geordie] it was restored and they sailed it across the Atlantic thro' the Panama canal to S.F in 1970 pity we could not have kept it here

Saw that paddle-wheeler...

While going up to London to Salute 08, saw this strange sight, tied up next to Rochester rail station...

-sorry, tried to add some pics I took from the train; but the 'manage atatchments' button now ignores me.
