Out of Action

Well guys it's finally happened the digi camers has stopped working, after being dropped at our Adelaide Motor Show a few weeks ago it was trying to keep on keeping on but the camera was finding it hard to start-up & focus but now it just doesn't work full stop. Lucky for us it's a rental one so it goes in on Monday for repair or replacement which ever is best, me's we'll get a new one as it won't be worth fixed I hope so as I want one of those SLR type digi cameras then I'll be able to take photos of the stars and the moon as well. So until it's fixed or replace no photos from me for awhile. but true. Oh by the way it's raining here in Adelaide at last.

Hopefully they will simply replace it with a new one and you will be up and running again a lot sooner.

Interesting concept renting a camera, I have always purchased but always got a bit cheesed off when you se your pride and joy is out of date within six months.

This time I went top end in the hope that it will last me a long number of years but then you have to pay a lot for the priveledge.

Yea Richard, that's Y me wife & I rent here in Oz as soon as U buy it, it out of date just like cars, planes etc always 5 yrs behind the times here in Australia. Our next digi camera will be bought no more renting and a lot more careful when handling it. U see while at the motor show I wnet to grab a brochure on a special cream polish that I thought would be good for my plastic models as well as the car and bingo the camera fell to the ground from my shoulder, next tiem it will be around my neck, boy do I hate that day ruined it completely.

Yeah ....rain in adelaide about time......just don't complain when you get flooded out....we in England are used to it lol......recently replace my compact with a digital SLR...........Samsung GX1L......is basically the Pentax machine. Lens by Pentax but you get a better guarantee.....and it's cheaper and you can still use standard pentax k-mount lens you just have to times the focal length by 1.25 or 1.5 something like that but it is the puppies squishies for getting in close....cannot recommend it highly enough....and it was a birthday pressie so theortically it was free

NO fear of flooding where we are the day that happens is when the world gets flooded, U see we're on top of a hill BUT surrounded by other houses not allone still windy though that's Y we have a windy generator producing some of our electricity plus solar apnels as well. It's still raining but not heavy just the occassional shower and fine misty stuff in between good to have it though we need it.
