| | Scale Model Member | Images Two questions.
In the thread of aircraft recognition pictures the thumbnail images have disappeared and been replaced by icons. Is this intentional?
Would that thread perhaps be better in the same topic as the answers thread?
Presently they are both in seperate sections. |

| I upgraded the forum the other day to 3.0.5 it needed to be done unfortunately, and I didn't update the thumbnails, I have done that now and they should all be fine.
As for question number 2 I would say yes, for the simple reason it would be much easier to follow, if people want it merging let me know. |

| The thread was split in order to make it easier for people to peruse the images,it was discussed that when the quiz has finished others, many still enjoy the fun of trying to identify the pictures without the hassle of trawling through lots of possible answers and other notes.
It is also easier to just add the image numerically and in a tidy order,as regards the answers and where to place them this is still open to question, one idea would be to place them much lower than the photograph and out of sight of the initial view by re-editing later,if anyone has any ideas then fire ahead.
The quiz mixed with the other content made it difficult to locate the images as it required lots of going back and forwards, the sequence and specialized thread make it so much easier to view.
If there is a logistics problem for John or if the split causes any slowing down with lower spec machines then whatever is best ?

| Getting the same problem Kiwi describes (rectangle with red cross instead of image).
Only on some images .. not generally.
Adzams post on Boat Pictures page 2 .. two threads, the first is OK but the second is not.

Any ideas please? | *** Sounds like the original picture source has been taken down, some pictures are linked to a web site for that specific purpose ? try right clicking onto the box and click 'open' this will sometimes bring up a picture image but not always.

| I guess it must be the linking.
None of the icons show full image properties - i.e. type not known & size not known.
I know it has nothing to do with firewalls or popup blockers etc. since I have just had the same problem on a different PC that has no firewall and no blockers installed.
Right click and 'show image' does nothing at all. |

| Yeah I`ve had that problem a couple of times. Thought it might be some method of not allowing us to nick pictures off somebody`s site or maybe the file was too big. |
