Hi winwinglo

There is no special software needed to capture stills of you screen.

the most simple way to do it when playing the came hold down the "ctrl" key on your key board and press the "prtscrn" / "sysrq" button. Some buttons have a picture of a monitor on them it just depends on your key board.
This does a screen grab of what ever you have on your screen and copies it to your clipboard. You should be able to go into an image editing package such as Photoshop. (if you have Photoshop it actually creates the new document at the size of your screen grab) Open a new document and simply just paste the the screen grab into it and save as the desired image format. and there you have it!

Bellow are some screen grabs from "Wings of War" that I have done

if it is actual AVI footage that you want to capture you could try "hpercam" this allows you to record what ever happens on your screen and allows you to save it as an AVI file. You can down load the demo version fro free.

Many thanks No.6,thats really neat ! I found the 'Print screen' facility to do the grab,it is a much easier process than I ever imagined.
Regarding the Wings of war,I have got this software myself but cannot get to grips with it,what is the yellow target ahead of the aircraft ? is that the target that you shoot at ? I always seem to finish up being shot down all of the time !! perhap you can give me a quick resume to get me flying with it.

Wings of war is a good game but perhaps a bit to arcade like to be an actual sim
The target in front of the aircraft is your target for aiming. The Hun tend to have red boxes highlighting them. These can be switched of tho to make things a bit realistic.

One thing I found when I first started playing the game was the lack of aileron control. I could not do rolls or steep banking turns. However it is very simple to assign any two keyboard keys of your choice to the ailerons allowing more manoeuvrable for Imelman rolls and the like.

Online the game can be played in classic or arcade mode, classic is more realistic and very difficult. Arcade is a allot more forgiving and allows you to fly into the power-ups for engine upgrades, rockets, extra guns and health.

I was getting shot down all over the place as well but I gradualy got better and started to get my own back!

Thanks for the feedback No.6,yes totally agree after using fully functional aircraft it seems a bit tame, but the graphics are beautifully done which is drawing me back to give it another chance,I was a bit dis-appointed also with the selection of meagre aircraft, unless there are more hidden somewhere else ? the Wacko old chap in the background in the ground school is rather amusing !
How do you switch off those red boxes by the way ?

Every time that I see your handle No.6 I think of those big white balloon things bouncing around in the grounds of Portmeiron, what a great series that was.
