*** Iain,I took it back to PCWorld today asking for my money back, quite amused me when the chap took about half an hour to get it working,he failed ! and so I used the money to buy the excellent 'British Airports' which included Old Warden, these install no problems, you could be right about the XP thing, yes I do have Service pack 2 which does not impress me either ! seems to cause a lot of added problems.
So thats the end of 'Wings of war' for me.

i have usual problems with my games i try to install. To find out what direct x you have type "dxdiag" in the "run" section of the start menu. Mark is also right - you should regularly download new drivers for graphics card.

Hope this is any help!
