| Return of the colour trace. Try and work this one out ! every morning when I switch on the computer I have been getting that colour trace back, when the screen-saver starts up the pictures just get muddy,so I decided to download the video card driver update once again despite it being the same version, anyway I over-wrote it and hey presto after re-booting it clears the problem, however next time I shut down and re-start the problem comes back and I have to go through the whole procedure again of downloading the same driver,re-booting and it is fine.
What can be the problem ? for some reason it does not appear to be holding the settings of the updated card.
Here is another pointer, when the screen goes muddy and I shut down to try and re-boot it just comes up with a load of hydroglyphics and the only way to get it to boot again is to pull the plug, wait 10 minutes and it will be ok except for the colours again,I then have to go through the procedure of downloading the video card driver again and it is fine, that is until tomorrow !
I seem to have been plagued with this graphics problem for some time now and its most annoying to keep having to reload every day.
