*** It is OK Roy,all sorted,it required some active x control installing before it worked properly,most impressive and it only found cookies present with no real threat.

Ooops forgot to tell you to accept the activeX control on "housecall", pretty nifty program which i run as a matter of course every once in a while. As said earlier AVG7 is an excellent freebie, i use that in conjunction with "microsoft antispyware" and also "spyware doctor". Normally run quick checks on a daily basis with SD & MA with a weekly full system check with AVG and SD. Have kept everything at bay so far and that's testiment enough for me.

Hi all, what about making a copy of your, (known good), registry, so if you think it's been got at it's easy to replace?

*** I could not believe it,it found 72 infections on my friends computer,I really do not know how they got away with it,one was marked 'dangerous' and 35 were also nasties,that is a good programme.

Cheers Barry,

Glad you tried it, It indeed a very good programme and catches some of the stuff that the other progs miss. It is a highy recommended prog in most of the computer mags and now you can see why....and best of all it's free !!!
