No, just the normal application to join. It's a two way feature as well, ie not only does the site get the newsfeeds but registered memebrs can post as per normal and the post is submitted to the newsgroup. A good feature IMHO.

I hear what your saying John, however it has got much better and the filters in place now make it so much easier to restrict stuff coming through. Obviously you'll always get the occasional spammer trying it on but the days of being flooded with viagra and sex offers is over.
As for moderation, well i think that's one of the reasons why some people like the newsgroups, as on the whole there is very little or no moderation whatsoever.
