Would recomend AVG aswell, along with Ad-Aware, both free and pretty efficient.

I just wonder that avg seems to run un-noticabley in the background and Norton interferes with performance so much and it is still the biggest AV on the market.

TigerTC virus free since 1999.
It is all down to marketing, like MS-DOS was more popular than OS/2 - which was the better operating system? Which had the best support? Which was cheaper? Which was riddled with bugs?

Avg and a raft of other security packages are available from Google as one security pack download free....check it out. there's also Picasa picture/visual media player editor-viewer if your system can handle it and Google Earth. Oh and my favourite on line spell checker and translator......that sometimes objects to this site but we dont know why
