Oh dear Nigel ? are these problems related to that installation ? sounds as if more testing is needed then.

The reason the Beta's are pushed out early is to test them on as many pc's as possible...unlike Apple...there is no such thing as a standard PC, they are all built from different bits from all over the world...hence the need for the beta testing...at the end of the day, if it works on your system then that is a plus..if it doesn't, Microsoft will get to know and make it work....and you still have a £500+ package for free...........mine works very well !!!!

Yeah I know that mark but as i use the pc for work and its the server for the kids internet access, can you imagine the grief they were giving me? I loved the functionality of it and the design but I need a stable pc (its still on the laptop though)

I would love it to be on my laptop but i cant as it does not have enough memory. Does anyone know where i can get cheap memory for packard bell laptops?

Wouldn't you be better using a router? that way you PC doesn't have to be on for the others to access the Internet

thats what we have. got a belkin wireless (has 5 normal eithernet sockets as well) plus it has its own intergrated firewall and security settings. great stuff, highly recomended!!!
