LuComServer_3_0.EXE

My computer is configured to receive automatic updates from Symantec, however I got suspicious this morning when the above executable was blocked by Nortons ? when I checked it said that there were some versions that were not genuine and harmful by the same name ! I then did a virus check on it which proved negative,so why was it treated as suspect and blocked by my firewall ?
In view of this will it be safe to release it onto my system ?
How can two files by the same name be so different in character ? ie one kosha and the other destructive.

a possible explanation is that because this virus (or whatever it was) was known about when norton automaticaly updates itself it probably had an update for it to detect this virus so it stopped it.

it didnt stop it because of who or where it came from or even what it was. it stopped it because it found/recognised a thread within it.
