| Back online, only nine hours (including lunch and a bit of work on my model boat)
Didn't manage to resolve the problem, did a full reinstall, now everything seems to be ok.
Made a major mistake on installing Itunes with quicktime player, took over an hour to get rid of that garbage because it doesn't have an uninstall facility, so be warned.
