Remember my problems with drivers for the Samsung CDRW, which was transferred when I went over to XP ? Well after weeks of searching and problems I decided to ditch that device and splash out on a new combined CDRW/DVD reader,the result is no more crashing and together with Nero 6 currently on trial,it seems to work without any problem.
Just to re-cap on this,the software conflict with the Roxio Inc device was not helped by the non-availability of upgrades in the UK,the site would only accept trade from the USA and Canada,well how dumb is that ? ! so after the flustration it is goodbye Samsung.
This is just a warning to people who are thinking of upgrading and hoping to use older kit,sometimes it just is not worth the effort quite frankly,just as well to make sure your dealer sells you the right things to get up and running,has anyone else had similar problems to this ?
