I have one of those USB Hub boxes which up until now has proved reliable,however all of a sudden although the power light is on the green lights are not ? when I unplug the unit from the computer the green lights flicker on for a few moments then go off,is this more likely to be a problem with the power supply do you think ? or the hub box itself ?
I have tested the USB port on the back of the computer by plugging in my digital camera directly and that works fine.
They are a useful bit of kit,do you think it has gone completely,any way of testing the box ?

With USB you can only have so many things attached at once because it might not be able to power everything at once, did it work before with what you have plugged in? or is it only since you have plugged something new in?

No Sonic it was only used to power up the digital camera and the laplink,never more than two things,its very odd because I just tried again by unplugging and re-plugging,the greens just quickly come on but then vanish ? could the hub be on the way out ,but odd that the red power light is functioning ?

It sounds as if either it's on it's way out or there's a dicky USB cable.

Right click on My Computer/propites/hardware/device manager see if you have any conflicts or if it's telling to there is a problem with it.
