XP Home versus XP Pro ?

Has anyone had experience of operating Windows XP Professional ? I was wondering if it is as fickle with these drivers as the home edition ? no doubt it will be more expensive but if it was more reliable then it would be worth it.
Any experiences of its use please.

As far as drivers are concerned there is no difference, Pro is more advanced than Home when it comes to things like security, networking and some other complicated stuff

If your not a "Power user" then stick with Home, here is a more simplified comparison

I changed ( upgraded ) my Computer last Sept, and on the advice of my son-in-law went for XP Pro.
His advice, basically, was that the pro version was a more stable version and far less likely to go wrong. It had better inbuilt recovery.
So far no trouble with it, I use Microsoft auto updates. Just waiting to see what happens with this new big update that's on the way.

Well Ken lets hope that you have more luck than I am having with this new service pack 2,my computer has not worked properly since I installed it.
