Here is the result of my first build in about 18 years. I've enjoyed getting back into the hobby, and this was the first time I have used a lot of putty filler, gloss varnishes, decal solutions, weathering, and matt coats. Now then, here is my Revell Mini Cooper that I decided to do in a darkish green and one thick white stripe.
I found the kit went together rather well, although I'm not very happy with the paint job (all done by hand), but I'll get there!
To be honest, I think I made the mistake of rushing...
I started my pair 'o' 9's build ,one will have the alternate proto tail. The resin goodies look good
The resin parts are pretty clean
the IP are not cleanly molded tho
Well closed canopy builds so should'nt hurt too much
I feel the urge of the Dark side again and venture down the Nocturnal path with the Allies this time and picked up a bent wing Bird . The kit looks really good at first glance and has various options for the cowls and flaps, nice touch!
No flash and the ejector pin marks are nicely hid away...
Currently building this kit and everything was going smoothly then disaster....
The Clear sprue with all the canopies has vanished or been eaten by the carpet monster.
Does anyone know of any after market ones i could get or where i could get a replacement sprue?
thanks in advance
Wayne
