      F14a tomcat, wolfpack all finished!

Pilot helmet, Wolfpack sqadron comparison.jpgTomcat F14 FINISHED.jpgHello All!

Just completed my F14A Tomcat Wolfpack. I've attached some pictures for you. Now I just need some US aircraft carrier ground crew. Does anyone know where to get them from? I know Hasegawa do one, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Also can anyone point me in the right direction for a good white acrilic paint. I have tried Tamiya and Revell and find them lacking. You need about 2-3 coats before it starts covering. Also decals? Where can I get them? I have a few kits without, which I got from Ebay. Any comments regarding my F14 good or bad, how I could have made it better? Would be good!

      Tally Ho!

      ¨Hi Mark.
Nice plane. Some of the pictures are a bit on the dark side and the book in the back ground confuses thing and makes the kit harder to see. (you also risk a kick in the rear from the owner of the copywrite of the book!)
From what I can see it looks great. Nice one.
As for decals a good place to look is on the Hannants web shop. Just do a search for the aircraft you have in the decals section and you will find loads of things you could use.
White paint is never an easy one. All the ones I have tried are good but you do have to work them up in several thin coats. I normally will use a white or very light grey under coat when doing white. Sure it can make it hard to see were you have painted but the end result is often worth the hassle.
