Ah De Havilland !

NZ Aviation Press have just published a book called MOTHS, MAJORS &
MINORS which covers the 1926-1939 period of de Havilland aircraft and
engines and propellers. This is volume 2 of the series. Volume One:
AIRBORNE, AIRCO & AIRLINERS is not due to be printed until 2006. There
will be four more volumes after that. MOSQUITOES, VAMPIRES & VENOMS to
cover the military designs, and BEAVERS, COMETS & DOVES the civil
machines. After that there will be two volumes of production lists
giving serial numbers, engine details and original owners. No fates.
By the way it was started by former de Havilland employee Norman
Eastaff who sadly passed away in 2002 handing the project over to
Janic Geelen.
The books are a wealth of information for model makers and lovers of De Havilland aeroplanes.
