At last a new flying film !

Currently being filmed at the historic R.A.F airfield at Halton in Buckinghamshire,UK is the making of a brand new flying film, the title of the film is 'Fly Boys' and the aircraft being used are three replica Fokker Dr.1 Triplanes and also two Nieuport replicas for the flying scenes. This news item is probably a first for scale-models here as I have not seen it mentioned anywhere else ? like a lot of filming directors prefer to do these things in utter secrecy, but they did not reckon having to deal with our undercover team,we know where you are !
Anyway look out for details of what should prove to be a flying epic for any enthusiasts of world war one aviation action, cannot wait.No doubt it will probably also appear on DVD and like the re-make of 'Flight of the Phoenix' out-sell itself long before it ever reaches any big screen.

***Thanks John, its a pleasure, perhaps not generally realised is that scale-models uses the resources of almost two hundred enthusiasts scattered all over the world giving topical aviation feedback, every day I filter out any especially interesting news items, the airfield visitors etc go on scale-models.net which is directly linked to here,on an average we get 800 e-mails per day ! plus 100 photographs for the files,I have been quietly setting up the reporting network for some two years,so you can see scale-models is on the ball with everything to do with aviation reporting, something we can be very proud of here.
