there used to be a modelshop in west drayton (middlesex) that used to specialise in civil aircraft models, - being only 5 miles from Heathrow i suppose it made sense !!!

might be worth a try putting it into a internet search engine.... cant for the life of me remember the shop name ! SORRY

*** It is called the Aviation hobby shop at West Drayton, run by a lifelong enthusiast who keeps a huge stock of kits both old & new,the largest model shop in the UK by far is Hannants of Lowestoft, well I say shop but this is actually one huge warehouse filled to the brim with kits from around the world,we will be dealing with the history behind this emporium in the near future on Scale-models,there are even full sized aircraft on show at the back of the warehouse ! there have been several Boeing 747 model kits done in the past, not all of which are currently in production, best of luck in your search.
