Anyone Looking for a New Engine..?

Have a look at this beauty currently up for Sale on E-bay,

I am sure with the right model, that engine would certainly top it all off.
Expensive but to the right person I am sure it is worth it.

(Pity it's not a V8, It would certainly finish off Grahame's SE5-A nicely)

Quality 4 stroke V-6 vintage design r.c aero engine on eBay, also Aeroplane Engines, Aeroplanes, Radio-Controlled, Toys Games (end time 31-Jan-08 14:22:21 GMT)

Regards........Mark

I can never understand why people seem to insist on putting the starting price the same as the "Buy it Now" price. If they don't want people to bid why use Ebay?

That is a really pretty little piece of machinery. Crazy expensive, but worth it for a serious enthusiast I'd say.

I agree with you there Richard,

Seems daft having the Buy it Now and Bid prices the same,

Nonetheless, I have just looked at the item again and it has sold already on the Buy It Now Price.

Would love to see what model that turns up in !!

Regards.......Mark

I very much doubt if it will turn up in a model, it is most probably already on it's pedestal in a glass case.
Would you trust it in an aircraft that is liable to fall out of the sky.
Mind you, the jet lads do it, but they would be able to replace their engines if it got damaged, in this case, you might never see another one on public auction again.

Might be fun to put it in a vintage shovelhead racing boat or something like that. I'd want to use it somehow!

I can only agree with you there,

No doubt some serious collector has bought this engine, but it would be nice to see it in an appropriate model to really finish it off, I can imagine this engine would sound superb and would really set the model off alone with it's presence.

I will agree with John's post above too re the Jet Lads, their engines normally cost more than that but judging by the number of videos and models appearing on Youtube, they are selling very well.

One thing I did notice though is when I posted this up on here initially the price was shown as £1,620 but when I went into work and logged on from the computers in the studios, there were 2 different prices on it, the bid price was £1,180 and the buy it now was £1,190. When I came home and logged on from my own computer it was still the original price as per above.....not sure what went on there.

Regards...Mark

You could always knock your own up.

The designer of this one said it wasn't very hard.

Hemingway Kits The V8 Aero Engine - Eric Whittle

You would get a couple of extra cylinders as well.
