stealth paint

hey anyone have any tips on what paint(s) to use for a stealth paint job? like the F117A/B2/SR71? its not a flat black paint but kinda bluish-black. any suggestions?

Howdy michael,

You might want to look at these build reviews found here: Tamiya 1/48 F-117A Nighthawk
and here: Academy 1/48 F-117A Nighthawk . These are reviews from the "modelling madness" website. another site you might check would be HyperScale - An Online Magazine for Aircraft and Armour Modellers or Internet Modeler Scale Modeling Magazine February 2008 . But i believe the first link i gave you would be best. I didnt look at the latter sites for the model.

Michael,take a look on the shelves of your local motoring shop,there are some interesting bluish looking black rattle can sprays there,and once more they are acrylic,but best use a flat black base colour first.

thanks guys, i guess ill just stop by the lhs and pick up a bunch of paint and play around till i get it right. no prob.
