| Alan,a big welcome to you and lets see if we can answer your question to assist you, firstly most of the kits I know tend to trap the turrets between the fuselage halves, this does bring with it its own problems in so much as sanding carefully between the delicate turrets is a tricky operation,I personally think the better route to go is to add the turrets at a later stage in the construction ie when the fuselage has been fully sanded and filled,if you want them to rotate then you will need to do a bit of pre planning by making a 'revolving' base for the turrets, this could simply be made up from a couple of discs of plastikard trapped between another thicker disc of plastic, this would revolve within some home made mountings, sounds complicated but it is not and could easily be built as a module early on.
If you do not care for gimmicky revolving bits then simply glue the turrets into place after the basic construction sequence.
I hope this helps you in deciding the build sequence best suited to yourself.
