Pioneers of aeromodelling progress-W.R.Jones

W.R.Jones will be remembered best for his four engine rubber powered Handley Page Halifax bomber, apparently the plans which were in the old APS range were some of the most popular ever published, the design was not for the work shy as the amount of work on the engine nacelles alone was immense and as with all of these modellers models required careful setting up.
Early issues of the Aeromodeller magazine ( sadly missed even today by many ) showed a first class selection of drawings by Mr Jones,I have built the Bristol Beaufighter,Miles Master & Miles Magister and can testify that they are well engineered and above all fly well considering their limited powert output, the construction is what could be termed 'interesting' and for those who love building models.
I know very little else about this doyen of scale model construction but commend him to our gallery of true pioneers.
