Question Mustang/ Falcon/ similar

Hi, I want to build an RC mad max car. Unfortunatly, I can't seem to find ANY bodyshells in any scale of a 1973 Ford Falcon or similar looking Mustang. Does any company either a) build bodyshells that aren't recent touring car body shells or b) sell large scale plastic models that I could use as a basis to build on? I've tried looking everywhere I can think of, but still no luck.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Lottie.

Hi Lottie,
Think you may be stuck on this one unless you can find someone in the States that makes these...yes Hpi do one but it is a modern touring car bodyshell as you describe.
The only other way I can think of is to make a scale mould to actual size for your car and mould your own....A lot of work but it can be done.

Good Luck...!!!

Regards........Mark

Well done Adzam,
I have just checked that link myself, I am pretty sure that 70's Mustang is the one lotte is after. I have seen the Mad Max films and If I remember rightly, it was Mel Gibsons car painted in Matt Black with pursuit written on it....The one where he cuffs the biker up to the car by his ankle and gives him 5 mins to cut through his leg or blow up with the car !!

Regards........Mark

Actually it was a 1973 XB falcon GT with an acardiplane front bumper, but it's impossible to get a bodyshell of one of them, so the Mustang is the next best thing.

I was actually thinking of getting a tiny motor to power the blower and rig it up to the speed controller, so it looks like the blower is running at full speed.

I'd just need a scale blower for that though....

That '70 Boss mustang is just what I've been looking for. Thanks Adzam
