nitro cars are 200mm and leccy are 190mm

you will find some brands of shells will fit your car good and other with be more awkward to fit

I've often wondered why the 'leccy ones are thinner - it would make sense to have them both the same size.

Measure across the axles ie.. Outer edge of tyre to outer edge of the other tyre, this will give you the size of shell you need. You can also get away with putting a 200mm shell on a 190mm chassis which will give you 5 mm overhange each side. Won't be seen too much

The way to measure the wheel base is to measure from centre of wheel nut on front wheel to centre of wheel nut on the rear wheel.

If I remember rightly, the wheel base on that car is 265mm.

As correctly stated earlier on this thread, electric cars usually have Bodyshells 190mm wide and I/C cars 200mm wide, this is the width of your car measured accordingly and has nothing to do with the wheelbase measurements. Some shells intended for electric cars will fit I/C engined cars too but not all !!! Best way to check is take your car to a shop that sells the shells and try them on your car....you may need to cut new body post holes to make them sit right but that is a very minor mod to do.

Regards......Mark.

Have you looked to see if Kyosho do a range of shells for your car ?

Wheel base, a Mini shell won't fit on to a chassis for a Vauhall/Bemmer/Mondeo this is where wheelbase comes into it. There are good n bad shells we buy HPI take the shell to your model shop to be sure of the right size.

This is the buggy for outdoors in the dirt.
