Since this thread has just been reincarnated...

what about?....

American Graffitt? (nice story, great cars, a piss green 32 deuce coupe stars along with a very young Harrison Ford)
The Califoria Kid (a very nice black 'n' flamed 1934 Ford - thats about it)
Heart Like a Wheel (documentary about the female dragster driver Shirley Muldowney)

And lurking i the very furthest corner of the barrel - The Wraith (total cods but good for an after the pub laugh and synthesised 1980's horror soundtrack)

i was going to say american graffiti as well.

what about disneys Cars? lol.
Talabega Nights (pretty rubish)
the transporter
Wild Hogs
The Worlds Fastest Indian. (a very moving film with Anthony Hopkins who plays Bert Monrow, a new-zealander (richard may have heard of him) who travels to america to try and set the world two wheeled land speed record on his 1920's indian in 1967 ....which he still holds today)

what was that old film about a mad truck driver that chase these people down a highway, kept ramming their car...etc.i think there was a re-make not so long ago.

speaking of re-makes.

the highwayman/hitcher (new one, came out a few months ago in the cinema with sean bean as the hitchhiker)

The film with the crazy truck driver was Duel - Steven Spielberg's first movie.

Terrific film too!

"The Worlds Fastest Indian" is a superb movie and, as always, Anthony Hopkins plays a superb part.

"Wild Hogs" is a bit far fetched but a great bit of escapism. I have visions of doing the length of the UK in a similar manner with a couple of mates on my new bike but I'm not sure if we could find a time long enough between it chucking it down!!

I don't think I've seen "Gone in 60 Seconds" in the list anywhere yet

Richard mentioned "Cars" but does an animation really count as a "Car" movie?

I noticed Day's of Thunder was mentioned - Tom Cruise or "Cole Trickle" was about as animated as one of the woodentops in that, so I'm not sure if that counts as a movie either?

Pricilla Queen of the Desert if U can't figure that out then U didn't watch it to good it's about 3 gay guys doing an outback run dressed as drag queens.

A couple more Oz movies

Sunday Too Far Away (Jack Thompson driving an FJ Holden, Ozzis car)
Mad Max 3 (U forgot that one)
Big White Dyno (salt lake racing in Australia)

other movies I can think of.
Ford Fairlane
Taxi

yes I think CARS counts after all it's still a car movie even though it's a cartoon.
