| Top Gear programme. Watched tonights 'Top Gear' programme, the airfield scenes looked like Dunsfold ? in the background were the two Air Atlantique DC-6 aircraft and a DC-3 as well, can anyone please confirm their presence and what they were doing there ? Team Clarksons attempt at building the kit car were hilarious, the car fell off its jacks, then Clarkson bolted the seat in back to front ! He clearly is not a man who like making things, dids anyone see last weeks about caravans ? apparently they had 150 complaints about the caravan experience of the three Top Gear dudes, the programme finished up with the caravan bursting into flames when Clarkson was making some chips.

| it is repeated on freeview and on the bbc...so all is not lost !
i missed last nights kit car ( will watch it later in the week), but i did see the caravan episode...... it was very funny, it brought back memories of years of caravanning holidays as a kid......
i did toy with the idea of buying a caravan to drag along to some of the model shows i attend but this makes me think twice !-it did not necessarily show caravanners in a good light !
LOL

| Yea well what do you expect the guys an idiot anyway he raved on about the Monaro but never let anyone know that they aren't built anymore they're biggest piece of junk GMH in Australia built fancy building a Commodore (Australian) with only 2 doors when you can get it with 4 anyway, Ford Australia had the right idea build a 2 door put it on display to see what reaction it got then scrapped it because everone thought it was great but didn't want a 2 door sedan, Top Gear is a good show don't get me wrong it's the guys are pure typical crazy Pommie nutters. |

| It's because the presenters are "Pure typical crazy Pommie nutters" that it's so popular!
What other show would you have a presenter who has an accident in a 300mph Jet Car, recovers from the resultant severe brain injury and then wants to jump in and do it again.
I do find it funny though watching Jeremy Clarkson Drooling and making funny noises like an overgrown school kid whilst looking at some ridiculous looking thing covered in wings, vents, bits of chicken wire and about £100,000's worth of carbon fibre.
Aren't they all a bit "old" for it though, it gets more and more like last of the summer wine with each one of their crazy ideas, the Soft top Renault Espace in a Car Wash was one of the most memorable moments!

| It is pure zany English humour,Clarkson and his team have managed to pack such fun into these programmes, that is why they have millions of supporters, lets face it a modern car,is a car,is a car, there is just so much that you can say about it,the copycat programmes have proved how boring the repetition of extolling the virtues of new vehicles is,Clarkson has taken vehicles to new heights of fun in finding ways of taking the mickey out of the manufacturers,he finds the weak spots quickly and pulls them apart.
His methods of destruction of the lemons is also interesting, but the programme has not always been this way, when he first started it was almost stiff upper lip service to the manufacturers, that soon changed as he became bored ! some manufacturers would not let him have their cars for fear of mockery.
Yes age is against them, but let them have their fun while they book their turbo charged zimmer frames,I think there is still life in the team yet, better than 'Neighbours' any day !
