i suppose the biggest site that deals with after-maket stuff for kits in the UK is http://www.netmerchants.co.uk/ but they dont deal with cars. I have made a few cars and will deffinatly do some more but TBH i didnt even know you could get p/e parts for them!!

i cant remember who it is but we have a member that ONLY makes 1/24 scale cars and has a nice little website with his work on. I think he was american and only posted a few times.

Snake, if you dont mind me asking...where are you from in the UK? I am in north east hertfordshire and i dont even have 1 model shop in my town, nearest is 10miles away and the best is in cambridge which is about 37miles away and that still isnt very good!

do you fancy comming to our group meet at Cosford? (shropshire)

Nigel.D and I are organising it so if so let us know or just post in the thread about it!

Hi RJ,

Thank you for the offer, but it's a bit of a trek.
I live near Croydon, Surrey, which is just inside the most southern part of the M25.

Hi Snake.
I have just seen this thread, and would agree that it is desperately hard to get good aftermarket sets here aside from the limited collection of resin at www.scaleautostyle.com which does bodykits for a few cars, but i would relly like to see more aftermarke here, because i at the moment have to build models oob or modify them myself, but i need rims and detailed photoetched stuff for seatbelts and brakes. I would definately buy stuff if it was cheaper than shipping from japan and the us.

Hi Porschenut,

Thanks for your positive reply, it will work out cheaper as I'll be paying for shipping in bulk, which obviously works out a heck of allot cheaper than importing 1 or 2 items at a time. I can then pass those savings on to prospective customers.

I presume your not aware, sadly Scale Auto Style is no longer trading.

Now that to me produces even more demand for a new aftermarket extras company.
Just my opinion
