I/C Powered RAF Service Launch models.

I have scratch built models of the Vosper RTTL and the Thorneycroft RSL, both to Model Maker plans (the latter scaled down to 1/16). I am currently finishing a Vosper Mk 2 'Firefloat' (Crash Tender of Aerokits fame). All the craft are r/c and powered by i/c. I sail at the Fleetwood model boat lake, but it is very rarely that I see any other model power boats (except for electric toy boats, that is).

If anyone has similar interests, please feel free to contact me - Happy boating.

adz..
I,ve promised Rob (12), my youngest son - it's his boat - that it will sail at the end of May (bank holiday weekend). I will then take some photos and post them to you. 'Where's the manual for the digital camera?' I've got to get to grips with the focus and reduce the file size to below .7/.9 mb. I'll get there (he says hopefully!). Plus if I have time to tidy-up the other boats, I will post pictures of them as well.

Hi Parky,
I would very much like to swap notes on the the Vosper MkII - recently dug mine out of the attic that was started in 1972 - my grandson (5!) says it's about time I finished it. I managed to obtain some extracts from the original Air Publication and log book records from RAF Hendon - nobody else seemed to hold any records. Anyone else built or still building this model.
PS - Mine still has a working Remcon 12 channel reed R/C and Taycol electric motor!
