Many Thanks folks.

Food for thought!(I did build the U-Boat in Model Maker 19xx with Magregor radio, but not to succesful) couldn't afford all that 1/2in balsa now.

I started model making 50yrs ago, first radio job Junior 60 with ED Miles and ED Boomerang radio (all still in my loft & last flown last year, with modern radio(Junoir 60 not loft!)) finished flying with 1/4 scale FW190 which was destroyed when someone switched on tranny with same crystal(never checked peg)!!!

So I thought safer with boats & wife said "cheaper"

Once again thanks for info

I can't possibly imagine how I would feel to see such a huge investment in time and money get destroyed in such a way.

It just goes to show how the very basic stuff such as crystal disipline, pegs, flags or whatever you use is so important.
