I thought that the attached pic might prove a diversion from the norm. The rowing boat - built by a member of the Borders Model Boat Club - appeared at the Edinburgh end of season sail in our newly re-furbished pond at Inverleith. The model certainly caused a great deal of interest from modellers and spectators alike. It's just a great pity that I didn't manage to find out more about it's builder or how it worked.
That is so cool, I never even thought about R/C rowboats before now. That is along the same lines as an R/C Bicycle lol, just something you never think about.
I have an old Model Boats magazine that shows a boat like this with the mechanics explained. I'll see if I can dig it out and let you know which edition it was.
If anyone is thinking of a build thread for one of these R/C Rowboats - bear in mind there may be children present on these forums - if posting images of dissmembered action men!
Hello all, what a Viking Longship like this one? Photo taken at Tarlair Model Boat Club in Macduff on the occassion of th eScottish Feferation of MBCs National Scale Regatta in August this year. Well worthy of the title and a good day out.
