new to trains

just wondering if anyone has built the Anteo kit by mantua ?

i have been offered a part built kit, but the plans and some fittings/ kit parts are missing- just wondered if its worth the trouble..... the hull is plank on frame and approx 30% planked, big gaps in it so far.... but it could be rectified but just wondering if its worth the challenge ?

if you have built one any idea on what motor is best suited to that model ?

just weighing up the options before i say yes or no to it-

also need to find some way of getting it past the wife if i say yes to it !
