Fire Tender

Just a couple of pictures of my fire boat that has been on the stocks for about 2 years, It was about finnished when I got some new infoso i decided to try and get it a bit more like it should have been, its going to be powerd by brushles motors via belt drives it has been built on a kingston hull and I have used styrene and lite-ply with sheet fiberglass 0.005 thick, as the motors where to be quite powerfull I decided to make an engine bed as I had orderd the hull as light as posable and would flex (the standard hull is fine), she is just about ready for paint (but I hate paint) so Ill have to stop making excses and finnish it . That is looking like a very nice and tidy job, well done. I particularly like the nicely laid out internals and you have got ther two belt drives in very neatly.

The engine bed is a superb solution and should get the propulsion to just the right part of the hull with no flexing.

Bite the bullet and get that paint on it, I'm looking forward to seeing her on the water.

That looks great, What size is it ?. I have a couple of the Old Aerokits Fire tenders one at 42 inch and a 34 inch model, I also picked up one of the old Victory mouldings Plastic models about 18 inches long, I carefully took out the old prehistoric motor and shafts and fitted twin motors / props and R/C goes like a dream. They are a lovely planing boat, yours should look superb when in full flight. It looks very well built Well done.
