3 props

hi shipmates im just starting a new build 50" by 14" pusher tug or by another name tow boat im haveing three props ill proberbly use 3 groupner 720BB with 65m props in kort nozzles some of the tugs have two steering rudders and four rudders in front of the kort nozzles complecated set up

Just for interest have you been here there is a lot of information and other links with pictures of full size American tugs and most if not all now are built with Flanking Rudders

Hi tubby-tomo, If I remember right the 700BB is a fairly high rev motor, and may need gearing down to drive 65mm props, talk to Simon at the 'Prop Shop' (see his webb site) for best advice on prop size and blade pitch, regards Aquarama
