Turbinia plans???

On perhaps a wayward and misguided effort , I am gathering information on a proposed Turbinia build... There is supposed to be a single sheet plan on Traplet
# MAR 3355 ?? But no luck finding it..

Thanks

Hi Greg
Sorry I have no info. - but "Turbinia" is in a local museum, I have e-mailed them to if they can help, also asked if it's o.k. to take photo's in case they would be of any use [ashamed to say it but "Turbinia" has never been more than 5 mile from me for the last 64 years and I have never seen it]

Peter,
Thank you so much for the reply--I have had many a photo collected- so I am good in that area. I am actually amazed that a treasure like the Turbinia ( being displayed in the Discovery Museum etc) is not offered in a kit , nor moulding of the hull or even a good print sold by the shop at Tyne and Wear. ???? I am surprised- I would think it would prove to be a popular kitr with many a English lad ( young and old) much less with a Colonial like myself...and mid-aged at that!!

Thanks again for the efforts- I have Googled this to death and little found other than lots of museum shots...Something will turn up as I have reqests here, on some live steam forums I frequent and on Model Boat Mayhem-- s

cheers ( and go see the ship--consider me jealous!!!!)

Are you going to try a steam turbine for it since that is what turbina is famous for?

Yes I am...!!! It may take awhile to find the right turbine and boiler and fit them into such a narrow hull... but I never thought this was going to be a quick build...as I am very new to this world
