Gauge 1 live steam

Hi
Is any one on here into gauge 1 live steam? just ordered the castings and such for a gauge 1 Evening Star.
plus looking at a large pile of track. (need a distraction from traction engines!)

Cheers Kevin

Showing my ignorance now Kevin but what is Gauge 1? I'm obviously not into it whatever it is, but if this model is anything like your Traction engines it is going to be well worth following.

Hi Richard
Gauge 1 is a 45mm between rails. The engine im starting will be live steam with a meth burner. The evening star is i think one of the best looking engines built in England.

Should be an interesting build if a bit fidley after the traction engines,

Cheers Kevin

www.gaugeone.org

Hi Richard
The link above takes you to the Gauge 1 society theres a few nice engines on there and some interesting layouts.

Always wanted to run a little track around my garden but couldnt face building a raised track for my 5 inch gauge. The Gauge 1 will run at ground level with a few tunels and a girder brige over the pond.

I swear im going back to being a school boy!!

Cheers Kevin
