1:20 Figures suitable for 16mm/ft model railway

I was looking for some 1:20 figure models I could use as hacks to make some figures for engine drivers etc for small industrial diesel locos...

...only problem - I can only seem to find 1970's Tamiya figures from their Pit Crew, 1970's hair and Ear-defenders, or helmeted racing drivers...fullface helmets doesn't seem to go with a 24hp Hudson Hunslet diesel somehow! The other figures are Manga Cartoon Girlies...even less fitting mefinks!

Is anyone aware of a suitable 1:20 scale range of figures?

Only I can see which would be atleast half good where these:

NITTO - FIGURE SET 2 - SHUTORAL FORCES 1:20 SCALE

But the only source for those was an old kit on Ebay from the US and the figures are since discontinued!

I would try a search for LGB figures, they are 1:22. Rather pricey though.

This might help you in your search.

The Tamiya figures regularly appear on Ebay. Not always in the UK but it is worth keeping an eye open for them:

I'll have to check those out although the LGB figures might be a little on the dinky side. I was hoping for some really beautifully detailed figures as being accustomed to the amazing quality and detail in 1:35 figures and even 28mm wargaming figures. Was expecting some good detail in the almost 3 1/2" tall figures, some of the far larger scale 16mm figures look, to be honest an absolute disgrace! :S

source for 1:20 scale figures

Hi, I offer a line of figures at My figures
Most of them are of enginees or fireman, and fit a couple of Bachmann engines without modifications.
