Hi All,

Long time again since ive posted , but ive been checking in!

Ive noticed some inspiring posts from our miniature military builders so i thought i would give it a go :smiling3:

The thought process behind this dio is a popup outpost "Vorposten" as if they were to be lying in wait ready to go into action at any point.

The Dio will be based on a credit card and no more and will have these model as the starting point.

Hi All a little more progress.

Here's the base the dio will be built on

20180915_182942.jpg

and here some pictures of the of the manor and tank before i begin painting... Although i did start adding beams etc to the house

20180915_182623.jpg

Ive just used some scrap balsa and cut to size and i seems to of given the desired effect.

here is the tiger tank which i do have 4 more in the pack but they'll have a use on another micro build! For 1/285 scale the tank is very detailed

Cheers again lads! More updates soon

This is wonderful Ben! I shall pull up a chair on watch on keenly. A "too scale" shot in your next update would be great so we can see how small this build really is

Hi All

Here's the progress on the Manor House,

20180916_151156.jpg

There is more to do with detailing exterior and interior etc .. but ive added some tiles to the remainder of the roof which i will carry on around the base and interior.

Heres a few to scale shot of the build attached to the base.

Hi All

Little more progress...

Tank in its base color before camo/washes etc...

9.jpg

Basic camo pattern please forgive the camo not something i paint everyday!

10.jpg

Ive also added details to the tracks etc... and given the tank a sepia wash

11.jpg

20180916_164906.jpg

for wear marks or metal edges etc i just used a cocktail stick a took the paint back to the white metal as its just as effective

Cheers For Now :smiling3:

Hi Ben
I have seen some micro dios done at this scale and often thought I would like to give it a go so I'll follow this with interest. Stunning start and the detail is amazing with it being so small.

Another update

Ive used some sticky back cork courtesy of Mr Duck which should give me a easy way to sculpt/ carve the ground.

12.jpg

I then went a marked out where the figures will be and removed the cork in that area which in turn wilkl sit the figures at ground level.

13.jpg

Also ive started to carve the road way/track which should all look in scale
14.jpg

Cheers for now

Another Update :smiling3:

Started added a base color to the corking and decided to add some sand bags

16.jpg

Bit more variation of color and bit more sepia wash on the edges ready to be highlighted

15.jpg

Added a small piece of plasticard to the tank turret so this can be posed.

17.jpg

The figures were attached to coffee stirrers for ease of painting

18.jpg

Hairy stick picasso carried out and here the results and if im honest its hard to give them the justice with correct lighting etc.. It will all come together once they are part of the dio

19.jpg

Hi All

A small but big update!

Here's the progress

21.jpg

22.jpg

23.jpg

Added flocking and used my static grass applicator, lichen, crumbled cork, tiles as debris (if you can spot any!), used various washes

Found a old ornament base that i though would be suitable

24.jpg

Cut it down and stained and waxed and added a felt bottom

25.jpg

and here it is i will add better pics for the completed dio!

26.jpg
27.jpg
28.jpg

29.jpg

30.jpg

All i need to source now is where i can get a name plate made as i would think that would finish it off nicely! Any suggestions of places that make them would be ideal :smiling3:

Cheers Guys
