      Cool Just saying hello!

I've been building models off and on for 30 years. Mostly tanks, and planes. Lately i've gotten into the 1/16 scale Remote Controlled tanks. If you do them right they can be as much fun to build as the smaller scales. I am working on a Perless STEYR RSO/1 Tractor and Nebelwerfer 41 and crew in 1/35 scale.
My wife fusses with me because I am retired now and was lucky to purchase about 40 armor kits from a hobby shop going out of business. She wants to know where we are going to put them when finished. Good question! Hope to post some of my work soon.

Welcome to the madness that is Scale Models Raven. Must say that I envy you for your 1:16 RC Tanks, one day I will have one...... Space to store models is always an issue for everyone, I just use a couple of glass display cabinets fro good old Ikea, quite cheap and holds quite a few models. When they are full I will store some of the older ones in boxes and rotate the displays over time.

Hi Raven, Welcome to the forum. Ive seen these big Tanks in action, they are fantastic. Especially with the realistic sound systems on board.

Hi Raven and a warm welcome to the forum. I've got a couple of Heng Long Tiger 1's in 1/16th, which I hope to strip down and detail some day. One of them was an ebay find, which had all the metal upgrades, smoke, sound, recoil etc and I got it for just over £100.00. That one is going to get a paint job one day! They are really good fun to drive around the garden as long as the missis doesn't catch me driving over the bedding plants!

Enjoy your time here, there is a lot of useful tips, tricks and tutorials to enjoy reading as well as some superb build threads.
