Hello I guess.

Hi everyone. I'm not very good at intros or anything so please bear with me. Actually I prefer rabbits but that is another tale or should I say cotton tail.
I'm having a breather from military stuff as I have been bitten by the Pan Am bug since last year. I was meant to do a costume for a fancy dress. The theme was: "What I want to be when I grow up..." and after for about 45 seconds, I'm a bit impulsive you see, I decided that my real ambition in life was to be an air stewardess, like all little girls this was via a vet then a nurse. Nature wasn't too kind so I knocked all ideas of travelling around the globe on the head.
my sometime occupation is a writer but considering going to a fancy dress in everyday clothes was a bit naff and not very ingenious and my job before that was a secretary, I didn't think that was very good, though I guess some people like that kind of look.
I went back to my wanting to be a stewardess. Looking round for a uniform the Pan Am colours caught my eye. Now I'm doing a whole load of airliners mostly Pan Am, just finished a nice Concorde in Pan Am livery and now on a couple of 747's.
I still haven't got my uniform made, the fancy dress can wait until this year now I'm sorry but I have airliners to build.

I thank you.

Lots of love,
Perry X X X

Sorry that must be the worst hello in the history of bulletin boards.

Feel free to post some images of your lates models in the gallery. I don't think I've ever seen a Pan-Am liveried concorde before!

Hi Perry and welcome to the Forums,

Nice to have you with us, I look forwards to seeing pics of the models, it is always nice to see different liveries rather the standard one's supplied with the kits.
As for that place name where you are, some us of probably can pronounce it, I am just a bit further North up the coast from you !!

Regards.......Mark

It probably has too many double L's and Y's in it to be pronounceable

Hello Perry, there is a lot of scope with your Pan American airliners theme, dont forget the 1=144th scale Boeing 314 by Airfix, this would make into a nice period thirties flying boat model subject to give comparison to your Boeing 747,we would love to see some pictures of any of your models built so far.

Thany you all for the warm welcome
I have the Minicraft Clippers, copies of the Airfix one but with nicer decals. I also have the Sasquatch Boeing 307 too so I'm getting there with the early stuff.
Can't wait to get my hands on a Pan Am Grace Airlines DC2 from CMR.

Love,

Hi Perry, very interesting picture in the gallery. Are they all your own models? It makes you realise just how many 109 kits there are out there!!

You'll have to show us some views of the other walls!

Yes they are and there are quite a few kits. If you look carefully you might see the Airfix and a single Academy 109 but really there is little to seperate them, they all have pluses and negative things about them, but with my trusty etch they scrub up okay.I have loads more round the room but these are the most interesting. I have a spare wall for FAA/RN and the other wall is ready for more trainers and WW1 stuff. Matt has the other two walls, the entrance way, the hall and eventually the spare room.
We also have a couple of sheds with more on the way. I hope to have a shed with a hint of an airport or runway etc for my 1/144th stuff. Depends on if I run out of room elsewhere.
You gotta love modelling....gives an excuse not to do housework!

Love,
Perry X X X
P.s Sorry the Dornier 217 N1 nightfighter isn't finished, I have the etch aerials to put on though I'm waiting for the cannons.

All those models look good on the wall like that, brings to mind one of those old WW2 RAF ready rooms with the Aircraft Recognition posters on the wall and the little stick planes that they used to use to demonstrate various maneuvers.

I like the Ju52!
