Nice work so far. I can only agree with you about getting LED's that small, they are very hard to find. Fibre optic is one option and the other is those tiny "Grain of wheat" bulbs, they are still available, not sure if they are bright enough for what you want but at least they will fit.
The lights on the Motorbike you have done look just fine to me, bearing in mind it is a WW2 subject and they would not have had the benefits of LED's or Neons then, so your lights look just right !!
