| Greetings Hi everyone, just joined up here & thought I'd come & introduce myself =]
I'm 21 years old, from Birmingham & am currently studying ICT & English Literature at college.
I did some bits of model-making when I was younger, and recently have taken it up again. I've completed the Doctor Who 'Welcome Aboard' kit (looking forwards to the Dalek kit), a Quay wooden construction set of a sailing ship, and am presently working on H.M.S Victory by Revell - and if anyone has any magical hints on how to get all the string bits right I'd be most grateful
I'm a HUGE reader, I like to draw & write, my family somehow seem to manage to fit a small farm into our regular sized back garden, so I'm often to be found ankle deep in rabbits, chickens & dogs, I quite like playing computer games - as well as making games & websites & of course, like all girls I'm quite fond of shopping, although I'm much more likely to splash my cash in Forbidden Planet,Waterstones or ModelZone than TopShop
My favourite thing about this forum so far is the presence of this smiley >
I look forwards to getting to know you all.

| | All Round Modeller | Hi Cazz and welcome to the Forum,
Always nice to have new female members on board and you will be glad to know you are not the only one on this site.
Any questions you may have, please feel free to ask as we will gladly help. I have no doubt you will get some answers to the rigging question for your HMS Victory very shortly. (I built this kit many years ago myself but I did a simple job with the rigging then)
As you will probably notice, Sci-fi models are welcome here too and even have their own section for posts on these. We have had some nice ones so far. Please feel free to post pics of your models up too.
Regards
Mark.

| A very warm welcome to the forum Cazz and many thanks for the great introduction. As Mark says nice to see another lady here, we don't get a great number of female modellers so the more the better.
I hope we have something to offer in the way of our resources and tutorials and look forward to seeing some of your own stuff.
Most of all enjoy your time with us.

Welcome to the forums! I'm sure you'll be able to find all the help you need to complete that HMS Victory model on here! Sounds like you have a good range of modelling interests too. Feel free to post some examples of your completed models, it's always good to see other peoples work.
Alan

| Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone
I'm sure I'll put some pictures of my stuff up soon, although I'm the first to admit that I'm not the best painter in the world , so don't expect anything very exceptional.
I'll hop over to the boat section now for help on the rigging, god knows I need it.....
*Edit* Have added two pictures to my Gallery (hopefully I've done it right...)

| | All Round Modeller | Hi Cazz,
The Gallery pics are fine, I love the Dr Who pic, looks great, I did also notice the very nice Tim Burton figures in the background too, I love his stuff.
Regards
Mark.
