Smile Hi out there

A newbie here, but been building models for for near the half century, off and on.
Currently my interests centre on small historic local river paddle steamers (wood and iron) and traditional wooden (fishing & trading) sail boats.

WW1 vintage and earlier aircraft are of interest but have no time for both, so the planes are a bit in the background at present.

My work in engineering design has taken me to a few counties around the world, and travel don't half play havoc with modeling, so has been a bit haphazard for the last few years. Picking up a bit now though.
Look forward to enjoying this most interesting forum.

Hi Peter
very nice frigate, myself I have put away, a kit of HMS Supply, awaiting that retirement which is still a few years off yet. My first model was the veron Sopwith triplane when I was about 7 or 8, and since then tried just about every form of model, keep coming back to boats though.
like this forum as covers such a variety

Howdy Harry,

Welcome to the forum. As ya can probably tell, I'm not from the U.K., but instead, I'm from the U.S.
I am sure i can speak on behalf of everyone here when I say we are really glad to have you as a member and we look forward to seeing some of your work.
Personally I'm an aircraft guy, wwI to present, but as long as it flies, I will build it.
I am sure if you will look around, you will find many others who enjoy the same models you like to build. We also have alot of RC boat enthusiast so watch out they may have you trying that next.
Anyway, again, welcome and we look forward to seein' alot more of ya.

have a good day,

Greg aka GEEDUBBYA (GW)
