| Hello from an 80 year young model maker I just found your site and have enjoyed my first browsing experience.
I have made models for the last 70 years, many of which have gone to the scrapyard in the sky. I man still amazed at the quality achieved by todays modellers.
You can see some of my work at Index
Regards to all fellow modellers

| Hi John and a warm welcome to the forum. Nice to see someone of a more mature stage in life still enjoying the hobby and still appreciateing what is done today. Even I have seen amazing changes in techniques and materials in the considerably shorter 40 odd years I have been modelling so you must he witnessed quite a revelation.
Glad you enjoyed your first look around and look forward to seeing some of your own models at some point.

| | No mess, no gain! | Hi John,
Welcome to the forum.
I have just had a quick look at your site and am amazed at the variety and depth of detail.
You seem to have an empathy for the youngsters in your modelling that is not always reflected in today's society. I love the fact you add details and create a sort of treasure hunt for the youngsters. We often tend to forget the child in us when modelling and make things too realistic and not as much fun as we would like.
I look forward to seeing more of your achievements. You will certainly be a asset to our forum and inspiration to many.

| I've just had a look around your site and what an interesting place it is!!
Some great build descriptions there, especially the Free Lancer (great name!) and interesting to see a Northlight brought back to working condition.
Your workshop can only fill most of us with envy, myself included, and I see, like myself, you like to have the garage door open when you are working in there and enjoy the fresh air. In even have mine open when it is raining outside!
Great models, great site and a pleasure to welcome you here.

I had a quick look at your pages and was most impressed, the U-boat pictures will interest one of my sons who is in the submarine business.
I will go back later and study the pages in greater detail, particularly the motorcycle stuff which looks brilliant...you must get through a lot of Soy sauce !
Regards and best wishes

Terry | Hi Terry
Thanks for visiting my site. and for your kind comments...there's something of the child in all of us and I have often modelled things that couldn't be afforded years ago.
I looked at your pages and was impressed with your workmanship, I have bookmarked your gallery and will return to watch progress on your model.
Regards

Hi Savvy
Thanks for your kind comments
I will have a look at your U boat in due course.
I have to say the whilst I have only seen one model U and that was at Black Park, I am impressed by you submariners faith in watertight seals. In fact the only thing that stops me trying one is the thought of my work going to the bottom !
Regards
